Guadalmina Golf North & South

Javier Arana designed the first 9 holes of the Guadalmina South Course in 1959, making it the second golf course on the Costa del Sol. The back nine was added 4 years later.

This charming piece of golfing history was renovated in 2002 and now consists of long narrow, lush fairways lined with pine and jacaranda trees right on the glistening Mediterranean Sea and beach. There are plenty of bunkers and the most challenging of the water hazards can be found on the 13th hole. After playing a round, famed golf architect Henry Cotton named the 7th Hole Tipperary. When you get there, you'll quickly see why.

Nearly 15 years after the South track was inaugurated, Folco Nardi designed the North track. Aside from the fact that the course has more rolling hills, probably the biggest difference is the large amount of water hazards that are included in the northern course along with the Guadalmina River.

The combination of the 2 courses makes a nice 36-hole round if you want to play all day. Another fantastic option at this club is the 9 hole pitch and putt course. There is no time for boredom at this historic Club on the Costa del Sol and a fun day of golf is guaranteed for every player, regardless of their level of experience.

In 2008, King Juan Carlos named this fantastic club Real Club (Royal Club) of Guadalmina. Everything that can be found here for your comfort such as the club house with bar and restaurant is 'Royal' There is also a beautiful swimming pool, idyllically situated with lawns and trees all around, as well as a tennis and paddle court and of course the beautiful beach directly next to the track.
