Meridional is a comfortable and cosy hotel, situated right at Guardamar's beautiful beach, at the beginning of its cosy boulevard. It's a perfect accommodation if you want to combine golf and sea.
It's a kind establishment, situated in a privileged environment, seperated from the Mediterranean Sea only by beaches of thin sand. With 15 kilometres of golden sand beaches, some of them semi-wild, and surrounded by protected forests, Guardamar has preserved the charm of the fisherman's town it once was.
The hotel's staff is friendly and very helpful. Its restaurant is famous throughout the region, especially for its Valencian paellas and Mediterranean (rice) dishes. Meridional has recently renovated all of its rooms, without loosing its charm. Every room has a large balcony, and offers everything you would expect from a good hotel.
La Marquesa Golf & country Club
The course look relatively effortless at first glance but even the experienced golfer will find the challenges as he moves along. Designed by Justo Quesada in 1989, it was one of Costa Blanca’s first courses and since then numerous tournaments have been held here. Re-designed by Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2019.
The course is lined with pine and palm trees and a canal runs through the course. It is a very walkable course with nice relaxed play.
This wonderful location has a very pleasant temperature both in summer and winter. Apart from the club having a restaurant, cafeteria and a pro shop, you will also find a commercial zone very near with all services.
The course was given a structural re-design in 2019 and has become considerably more interesting for both starting and advanced players. New routing and a number of brand new holes with beautiful greens. The new hole 16 is extremely interesting. It is a short par 3 but you have to cross the water to a rolling island green.
