Club de Golf Montanyá

An undiscovered gem in the Montseny Natural Park.

Montanyà Golf Club is a place of great beauty in Catalonia. Due to it's proximity, the course has an intimate relationship with the Montseny natural park. The course is over 6000 metres long, with a par of 72 over 18 holes with a notable difference in technical environmental characteristics between the first 9 holes and the remaining 9.

Designed by David Thomas and opened in 1989, the course is considered one of the best kept secrets of the area. The circuit is approx. 5.730 m from the yellow bars and 5.095 m from the red bars, in a par 72 of 18 holes. The course consist of four 3-par holes, ten 4-par holes and four 5-par holes. The first part differs technically and environmentally from the second 9 holes.

The tee on the 1st hole, raised over a beautiful lake, requires great concentration and provides a pleasant foretaste of an exciting round.

Montanya Golf was the home track of the top football player who died too early, icon of Ajax, Barcelona and the Dutch national team Johan Cruijff. Hole No. 14 is named after him.
