Hotel La Tour Hassan

Blue is the colour, and it is everywhere. The intense blue of the sky and the sea. Nestling within the protection of the ochre-colour fortifications, is a gleaming white city and a minaret (tower) that reaches up to touch the clouds. Located at the mouth of Bou Regreg River, Rabat; the third largest city in Morocco.

Fragrant history
History stops in Rabat and does not leave. It appears on the corner of an alley, in a stall of oriental slippers, fragrant with the scent of leather. It impregnates every stone of the Oudaya Kasbah. Savour a gazelle horn (typical Moroccan cake) with a mint tea, whilst watching the boats dance on the Bou Regreg River.

Lavish luxury
The impressive La Tour Hassan complex is Rabat’s plushest offering. The décor is exquisite and sumptuous and the 144 rooms are stocked with every imaginable amenity you can think of. There are several grades of rooms and suites available. Take a dip in the outdoor pool set in Moorish Andalusian gardens. There are 3 restaurants, La Maison Arabe, L'Imperial and La Brasserie de la Tour serving gourmet dishes including traditional Moroccan cuisine. There is a wellness centre with a hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi and a fully equipped gymnasium.

Top 3 reasons for choosing La Tour Hassan
1. Wonderfully luxurious rooms and suites
2. Located in a very historical quarter, with lots to see and do
3. Benefit from the wellness centre, indulge in a hammam and feel totally relaxed

Atlantic coast Atlantic Coast: Morocco must be explored – a tour around the markets, the Atlas Mountains, Majorelle Gardens, Saadian Tombs, ancient Berber villages, drives into the desert... the list is impressive. This region is one of great contrasts; offering both opportunities to relax and a variety of options for those of you keen on activities. The most visited beaches are naturally located not far from cities, especially on the Atlantic coast.

Morocco – Atlantic Coast as a holiday destination
The coastal towns and cities in Morocco on the Atlantic Coast are Essaouira - a tourism Mecca, and one of the most popular wind surfing areas in Morocco. Just North of Agadir and some distance South of Essaouira, you will find some amazing surf spots made famous by Jimi Hendrix, who fell in love with the area. Skhirat - a small fishing community with panoramic beaches, and the chief fishing centers - Agadir, Safi and Casablanca.

Morocco – Atlantic Coast climate
The Atlantic coast of Morocco enjoys a temperate climate thanks to the cool Canaries Current; on its northern edge around Agadir both winter and summer temperatures are very pleasant, whilst the weather in the far south is more extreme due to its desert location- on the edge of the Sahara. This part of the world gets over 300 days of sunshine every year so your plans are not likely to get washed out.

Morocco – Atlantic Coast coastline
The Atlantic Coast of Morocco runs for over 1500 km from the Straits of Gibraltar to the Mauritanian boarder. The Atlantic Coast houses several prime shipping ports responsible for the wide scale trade with other nations. The most important ports are located in Agadir, Essaouira and Casablanca. These double as both popular beach destinations as well as centres of trade through the ports. One of the chief industries in Morocco is fishing given its vast coastline

Morocco – Atlantic Coast culture
Morocco's capital, Rabat is a modern city with wide boulevards, gardens and light, white buildings, but still steeped in history with its origins going back to the 7th century. The King of Morocco lives in the extensive Royal Palace which dominates the centre of Rabat.

Morocco – Atlantic Coast gastronomy
Moroccan cookery is a feast for the senses. This country's cuisine is iconic for perfumed aromas and bittersweet dishes, attributed to its Mediterranean, African, and Middle Eastern influences. Of course, try the fish, it’s wonderful and super fresh given the location.

Golf in Morocco – Atlantic Coast
What makes this region even more popular with the travelling golfer are the ideal playing conditions all year round, with mild winters and pleasant summers thanks to the ocean breeze. It really is an undiscovered treasure here. Beautifully manicured courses, spectacular scenery to name but a few things waiting to seduce you.

Royal Golf Dar Es Salam - Blue Course

Pursue luxurious, sensual pleasure at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. The Blue Course is one of three sister golf courses so close yet a world apart. Just 15 minutes from the centre of Rabat and spread over 440 hectares of trees, flowers and water hazards in the heart of a cork oak forest.

The Blue course can turn into a long run. Hole eleven is a par 4 for 405 metres; it is captivating in its beauty as it is in its difficulty. Trees and brambles narrow the fairway which is bordered by a lake with two large mimosa trees which will not stop the ball, destined for the water.

The practice centre has an open and covered driving range, also an advanced level training area with a chipping green, bunkers and a putting green to get a bit of practise in before you tee off. After your game head over to the club house, the ideal place to savour moments of pleasure and relaxation.
